Signature or THE hotel

Looking to go to Vegas for a long weekend with my wife for my 40th birthday. Looking for a place that is nice and fun but not so chaotic.

Looks like you can get a nice place at Signature via VRBO for a good price.

Any other suggestions?

Signature or THE hotel

Signature fits the bill for what you are looking for, especially since it is a non-casino hotel. You can make use of the MGM casino %26amp; pool, or just get away from it when you want. Lots %26amp; lots of options and opinions, but if Signature has already made it on your radar, go for it.

THEHotel is also nice, but just a notch down.

(One personal addition, if on the other hand you wanted to take it up a couple of notches, look into the Four Seasons.......that would be an occasion. Absolutely our favorite place to stay anywhere in Vegas)

Signature or THE hotel

What about Green Valley Ranch, JW Marriott or Lake Las Vegas?

I would definitely say go for the Sig. My wife and I stayed there a few weeks ago for my Bday and we loved it. It is very quiet and it was nice to get away from all the action at the MGM, but you are also very close to the action if you want to be.

Did you rent through Signature or directly from an owner like VRBO?

I%26#39;ve stayed at both, and liked the Sig a lot better. Plus, at this point, it%26#39;s quite a bit newer. Rooms age quickly in Vegas. We have rented through vrbo which worked well. (I posted a review for the Sig, and listed the number of one of the rooms we%26#39;ve rented, you can click on my name if you want.)

Is tower 1 the best at Sig. due to proximity to MGM and views?

we%26#39;ve stayed at both The signature and The Hotel. We definitely preferred the Signature. We rented through a VRBO and everything was handled perfectly for quite a bit of savings. Do be careful of additional housekeeping fees and the resort fee. We did not pay either with our rental. We preferred the Signature because of the pool area-quiet if we wanted to stay at the Signature, but if we wanted a more lively area we could use the pool at MgM grand. I don%26#39;t believe tower 1 is any better than tower 2 or 3. The walking difference is negligible unless perhaps you are handicapped. Also, the refrigerator at MGM is empty and for your use, the one at The Hotel was was a mini-bar with no room for our juice, sodas and liquor. We also found the rooms at the Signature to be in much better condition. Both are nice, but I would go back to the Signature, but not The Hotel.

You asked about Lake Las Vegas. I don%26#39;t know if you want to be by or on the strip. OR you don%26#39;t mind being 20 miles east in Lake Las Vegas. They have a couple hotels (Loews, Ritz Carlton) with 1 casino (Montelago) its nice and peaceful. I usually like to recommend to vistors to stay there after they have partied in Vegas. :o)

My husband and I stayed at the SIg last July and loved it. We had a 1 bedroom suite and it was just like being at home. We had a paper delivered to our door in the AM and had a full kitchen for anything you might want to prepare. We really enjoyed the quietness of the pools, too. Great service!
