Changes to buffets....

We usually make it to Vegas twice a year...but due to the fact that I was pregnant and had my first baby I have not been there since November of 06 (boo hoo me!). Anyway.....I had a couple questions about the buffets...

Basically, we don%26#39;t gamble. But we LOVE Vegas for the food, the pools, the weather, the shopping, etc. Our two favorite buffet stops have always been the Spice Market at Aladdin (now PH, of course), and the Bayside at Mandalay.

Has the Spice Market changed alot since the hotel became PH? Call us crazy but our favorite thing there was the great selection of desserts (I LOVE dessert!) but we%26#39;ve heard a few negative things about it recently and want to know if it is still worth going to.

And at Mandalay....we loved that they had warm crab legs. Do they still have them? We heard that they remodeled the buffet and some of the reviews are not that great lately. Is the food selection pretty much the same?

Also...have the buffet prices changed significantly?

Any input would be much appreciated! We are excited for our trip (in August...when the weather is nice and crispy! yippee!) but only have a couple of days, so we don%26#39;t want to %26#39;waste%26#39; our few good meal opportunities. Thanks!

Changes to buffets....

I can%26#39;t give you the feedback about these particular buffets. I have been to Mandalay twice for breakfast and thought it was very pedestrian. Haven%26#39;t been to Spice Market since the remodel.

But here are the prices:

Changes to buffets....

Hi fellow Banana!

I have found the Spice Market buffet to be remarkably similar....same exact food selection, and haven%26#39;t noticed any major change in quality. Was there last month and still enjoyed it!

I too am a foodie. You must do Paris brunch. Long line is worth it. Try to go so you can sample some of the lunch items they start to put out @ 11AM. The Rio has a killer seafood buffett. The best is Bellagio a must try. Mandalay bay has a silver champagne bruch but I think it is now 80$ too rich for my blood. Also lunch at stratesphere is a wonderful time @ 25 each with special appetizer and cool dessert.

Thanks for the tips!

Anyone else??

Didn%26#39;t try the buffet when it was the spice market but the PH buffet for Sunday brunch was very good. Great selection especially the deserts and waffles I think it cost $23 with sparkling wine amazing value.

I also tried the Mirage but would say the PH had better selection and seating much more private in booths.

PH and Mandalay Bay were still tops.

Quality and freshness.

MB breakfast is excellent, but anyone saying it is pedestrian is our friend, Let them and those they influence go to long lines at Paris to wait for pedestrian service and less fresh fruit, while we enjoy the short lines and better service %26amp; freshness at MB.

..were still tops when I tried them in Feb., and hopefully will still be when I go to them next week

Was in LV in May and ate at PH. Still very good. If you are looking for a good meal, try the Wynn. Good food, but the cost is $30 - $40 pp.

Hi

Wynn dessert%26#39;s, the best.
