To all the TA ladies, i%26#39;d love to hear your opinion
Me and my wife are celebrating our 10-year anniversary this year and i wanted to do something special for her. I decided back in February to plan a trip to Las Vegas since neither of us has ever been there. I also decided to do all of the trip planning myself and keep the whole thing a surprise ! all i told my wife was to take off work that week because we were going someplace to get away ( she has no idea ) anyways i have made several plans that i%26#39;ll share below and would like to hear your opinion ... If you were my wife would you be happy with my surprise plans ???
- suite booked at the Signature MGM
- 2nd day i have a Grand Canyon plane tour booked
to the South Rim through Papillin Tours
- 3rd day i have 3rd row seats for Blue Man Group
at the venetian
- 4th day i have front row meet %26amp; greet tickets to
see Terry Fator at Las Vegas Hilton
( he was last years winner on America%26#39;s Got Talent )
- 5th day tickets for Cirque Du Soleil '; O ';
at Bellagio
Those are the plans i made and show tickets i already reserved.
NOW .. all i need is some recommendations for a nice dinner out. We are not the type to typically go and spend $75-$100/person on a meal but i want to make 1 evening special with a really nice dinner
... help me out ladies
Thanks
Ladies give me your opinion ...
Sorry can%26#39;t help with the dinner question but just wanted to say well done on the planning. It will be such a lovely suprise and I%26#39;m sure your wife will love it.
Ladies give me your opinion ...
Thanks Shelly .. i am pretty sure she%26#39;ll be totally overwhelmed, especially since the biggest vacation we%26#39;ve ever taken was a trip to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee .. about an 8 hour drive from Ohio
It sounds so wonderful, what a great guy.
Not too many people mention Lawry%26#39;s but I LOVE it, the service is fantastic %26amp; the food (prime rib) is fantastic. If your not big meat eaters, Im not sure...there is one that lots of people mention, I cant remember the name but it has ... maybe mon ami abi or something like that.
have fun.
Stacey
yes it%26#39;s called Mon Abi Gabi and it was one place i was considering.
Thanks for the kind reply, we both love prime rib so i%26#39;ll be checking into your suggestion !
The two restaurants that get mentioned on here for something special is Hugos Cellar and Rosemarys.
TD,
Hugo%26#39;s Cellar at the Four Queens is very nice. Great food and service and very romantic. They give a rose to every woman that is seated for dinner. Without drinks it will cost approx $45 per person. We have been there a few times and have never been disappointed. Sounds like you are going to have a fantastic trip.
I can%26#39;t wait to read your trip report when you get back! Nice job, I think you have planned this very well. I hope you can continue to keep it a surprise. You both will remember this trip all your lives!
The point is not whether any of these activities is impressive - you know your wife better than we do and presumably you know what she would like. The point is that you have put a lot of effort into planning surprises to show your wife how much you love her. Anybody can get plane tickets to Vegas, but you have spent time thinking about what she might like to do and see and planning accordingly.
Admittedly I am a male, but to me, if your wife has her priorities right, *that* is what will mean the most to her.
Hugo%26#39;s and Rosemary%26#39;s are mentioned here as inexpensive romantic haunts, but they%26#39;re Downtown which will give you $50 round trip in a cab if you don%26#39;t have a car.
I think Mon Ami Gabi is a nice idea for your budget, sit outside (there may be a little wait) and you can then watch The Bellagio fountains while eating and enjoying some wine.
Have a wonderful anniversary :)
TD40,
First of all .... YOU ROCK! your wife will LOVE this -- I%26#39;m printing it out and leaving it so MY husband will see it and perhaps get inspired (our anniversary is next week ....) So here is my dinner recommendation -- I have heard from many people that Top of the World, the restaurant at the top of the Stratosphere is supposed to be excellent -- it rotates so you have a full view of Las Vegas within an hour or so, I believe ... I%26#39;ve been told that it is very romantic, good food, and the best view you could imagine. After dinner, you can go out on the observation deck and check out the view outside...maybe hit the rides up there ( just kidding ) Good Luck and Happy Early Anniversary!
