Total Rewards Card Question

My husband got a Total Reward card on our last trip to Vegas. He played in a poker tournament at Ceaser%26#39;s and they signed him up before he started playing.

He paid $120 to get in, which I realize may not be alot for Ceasers. Won third which paid $460 after 5 long hours. They asked for his card at tournament check out too.

I looked online to see if he got any points and he has 0 points. Is that right? Does $120 bucks really give you no points?

I got a Players Club card and played about $300 at MGM and mine says 104 points.

Thanks

Dee

Total Rewards Card Question

Table games, including poker, do not put ';points'; on your card. There is a separate rating system for table games. Also, poker is notorious for having the worst comp schedules of any game - most places will only comp you for poker at a rate of about $2/hour.

Total Rewards Card Question

I think HEt comps $1 an Hour for poker (at least the Flamingo does)

Another factor is that of the $120. Probably around $100 went directly into the prize pool. So Caesar%26#39;s take of that money was about $20.

That probably would not attract points.

Also, Table games are tracked by the length of time you play, but often not when it%26#39;s a tournament. A tournament is seen as a one time transaction.

I have the total rewards visa credit card which gives you a point for every dollar I spend. That has been very good to me.

Tourney Buy ins typically do not count towards any comps. Cash Games do...but usually only at a rate of $1-$2 an hour depending on the property.
