What Type Of Free Drinks

Hi All,

Long-time reader, getting ready for my first Vegas trip.

Just had a question about getting free drinks while gambling.

Can I order any type of drink?

EX: I love mudslides. Is it normal or okay to order one of these as a free drink?

I have searched the forums and the cocktail waitress website, but couldn%26#39;t find this out.

You can order mudslides but some casinos make it from a mix so I tend to avoid ordering drinks like that on the casino floor unless I know that it will be made fresh.

If you want a mudslide or anything else that requires extra effort to make, tip your CW a $5 and chances are you%26#39;ll get it.

White Russians are close to mudslides, and I order double WR often in vegas....a little easier than a frozen mudslide, but still yummy.

I had been wondering what to order. This is going to be my 3rd time in Vegas and I always order rum and coke, I actually don%26#39;t even like them.

Hubby teases me that he needs to train me to learn how to drink beer, since you can%26#39;t go wrong with those.

Huh?? If you don%26#39;t like rum and cokes, why order them? If you don%26#39;t drink alcoholic beverages normally, why feel that you have to in Vegas? I will often order an iced tea or just a bottle of water while at the tables, since intoxication doesn%26#39;t improve my play at all.

I rarely order anything other than diet coke, coffee or bottled water. I don%26#39;t like to drink alcholol while gambling.

Stratton, to answer your question...they are not my favorite thing to drink, I just didn%26#39;t know what my options were.

I think the OP was saying she orders rum and coke because she didn%26#39;t know what she could order, yes? Typically likes complicated drinks like mudslides that you were never sure you could order?

I do typically stick with the coffee myself - I usually get a slushie before I start gambling and then when that runs out switch to coffee or water. :)
