Hotel help in Vegas

In given the option, which hotel is better for price, pool and best rooms? The Mirage, The Hotel Mandalay Bay, the Venetian or if anyone has a better suggestion. Just trying to plan my vacation.

As always, your suggestions are greatly appreciated.

The deals are getting better and better.

Assuming no comps....

Mirage would have the better price along with Mandalay.

Pool, the Mandalay is just about the best in LV, with your three the Mirage would be my second choice.

Std Room wise the Venetian.

Location wise, the V and the Mirage

Food wise all three have decent restaurants.

You can also try the Bellagio or the Wynn.

And yes, I have stayed in all mentioned.

Nothing compares to the suites at THEhotel. They are real suites with seperate living room and bedroom and 1 %26amp; 1/2 baths. The ';suites'; at Venetian are just a larger than average room, although it does have a sunken living room with it%26#39;s own TV. The rooms at Mirage are pretty standard and somewhat small by today%26#39;s standards.

Mandalay Bay has the best pool area with a large beach %26amp; wavepool, a lazy river, along with regular pools. But it can get very crowded. Mirage also has a nice pool area with a nice waterfall, but the crowds there can be even worse than MB because the area is smaller. The Venetian pool is pretty much a joke for a property of it%26#39;s class, but it is easier to get seating there.

Personally if rates are similar I think THEhotel is the easy choice, but some do not like the South Strip location.

BTW: I%26#39;ve stayed at all 3 properties.

Thank you diceman and ktinca for the great information. I am leaning towards The Mirage because of the location and I can get a great price on a tower deluxe room. THE hotel at Mandalay Bay definetely sounds better, but it is so far down the south end of the strip.

The Mirage gives me location, price and still a pretty good pool. It is probably not the best choice, but it has a little of everything I want.

Thanks again

Palazzo is connected to the Venetian and is also owned by the Venetian. Palazzo is brand new and has a good pool. The rooms at the Venetian and Palazzo(650 sq. ft.) are similar but the Palazzo rooms are a tad bit higher quality.

The rooms at Mirage(400 sq. ft.) are standard size hotel rooms but are nice( the newley remodeled rooms).

The Hotel @ MB is a the biggest room(740 sq. ft.)and is nice also.

I would vote for the Venetian - it%26#39;s just a superior property and the rooms are so comfortable. I have no problem with Mirage or Mandalay though. I%26#39;ve stayed in both and enjoyed them both.

Mandalay has the best pool.

Alot is said on these forums about location on the strip and things like the Mirage is more in the center of things than Mandalay. Geographicly this is true, but until you%26#39;ve been to Vegas and realize that every resort is about a 1/4 mile long and that even walking out of the one you%26#39;re in and down to the one next door is a hike, you realize that whether it is 1/2 mile or a mile and a half it still means walking is usually out of the question.

Walking to more than the resort right next door is a serious time investment. My suggestion is pick the resort you like best and then decide on using one of the multiple transportation options.

MGM Grand is the best package of good pricing, best pool, and nice rooms

The strip is Mandalay to Wynn.

Mirage is North strip.

Planet Hollywood, Paris are mid-strip
