My son just returned from Iraq and I want to have a short 4 day ';welcome home'; type family gathering.
Anyone have ideas on where I can find a place that sleeps 6-8 people for 4 nights 7/31/08 to 08/04/08 somewhere in Las Vegas and won%26#39;t break the bank?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks a million!
Need Advice, suites in Vegas
Thank you for your son%26#39;s service to our country. I%26#39;m glad he%26#39;s back safe.
Multi-room suites on the Strip are very expensive. You should either look off-Strip, or consider simply getting a 1 BR suite and 2-3 standard rooms right next to each other. For example, at MGM you could get a Hollywood Suite and two regular rooms right next to it.

I forgot to note that the other advantage of getting multiple rooms is that you have more bathrooms that way.
I%26#39;m not sure what your budget is but I would recommend something like the Rio (offstrip but all suites). Your dates are Fri-Mon so deals will be hard to find ... Rio Suites will run you ~$500 per room for the 4 nights.
MGM Grand is offering some good deals right now too so you might want to have a looksee.
Congrats on your son being home safely ... pls thank him for me.
Look at a 2 BR suite at SIgnature. Multiple bathroom and should sleep at least 6 - also with full kitchens, have groceries delivered. Read my review for details...
So glad your son made it home safely. Long story short, you have been blessed!!
The nicest ';condo'; I have ever stayed @ is a non-gambling resort called Fairfield (now Wyndham) Grand Desert. Great 2 bedroom apartments are very upscale %26amp; reasonible. Great pools/lobby/fitness facilities. It is on (??), just east of the strip between Trop %26amp; Flamingo. E-bay always has a bunch of reliable sellers, who do 2 Bd/2 Ba for $100 a night weeknight, bit more on weekends. Even 3 bd are sometimes available. They run a shuttle regularly to Harrah%26#39;s on the strip, but are an easy cab from the strip to the west, or Hard Rock, etc. to the east. Plenty of parking if you have a car.
Here%26#39;s an real e-bay example :

Not going to be too much help in the suite that sleeps that many but I just want to thank your son for his patriotism.
I admire and thank anyone who serves. God speed and God bless
I%26#39;d recommend the Platinum Hotel and Spa. The hotel is all suites and the rooms are 910 square feet for a solitaire suite and 1,083 square feet for a princess suite. The hotel is located just behind Bally%26#39;s and is very reasonably priced.
Make sure you find out if the rooms have a King bed Only or 2 queens. Also ask if the couck/sofa in the living area folds out into a sofa bed.
Half of the suites in Vegas are king bed only.
Hilton Grand Vacation Club on the north LV strip might have good choices and is usually reasonable.
Please thank your son for me. I got an internship with this las vegas hotel group for the summer, and I made some phone calls for you and this is what I found out. I would recommend staying at the Signature, which is a MGM GRAND property. They have suites that can fit 6-8 people. If you have 8 people, you can get two connecting rooms. It is a great property and I think you will love it. Here is the link to their website. 鈥tdmt.com/MGM/鈥?/a>

Also you get 50% off tickets to Ka, Zumanity and Mystere with your sons militaty ID. Ka is at MGM GRAND, Zumanity is at NY NY and Mystere is at Treasure Island. I have seen all 3 shows and they are great.

I hope this gets to everyone who has answered my question and have thanked my son for his being in the service.
I want each of you to know that my wife and I as well as my son appreciate your kind words more than you will ever know! He has been to Iraq three times and although he had to leave his own family behind each time he is very proud of what he and his fellow troops do.
God Bless each of you!
