Mirage during renovation

Has anyone stayed at Mirage since they started their renovation (Feb 2008)? Any ideas on how far along they will be in late August? Don%26#39;t want to deal with the noise of renovation and would like to stay in a newly decorated room, but hotel info says they can%26#39;t guarantee a new room during the renovation period. Any info would be appreciated.

The room renovations are supposed to be all finished by the end of August (don%26#39;t know about the volcano and other property refurbishments) so you chances of getting a new room are very high.

I have yet to hear anyone complain about noise from the remodeling at Mirage.

There were no disruptions on the casino floor or in/around the restaurants when I was in there 2 wks ago. The odds of getting a newly renovated room are good as long as you don%26#39;t have a late evening arrival, just ask for one at check in.

Ditto what gabby said, except 4 weeks ago. Heard zero noise.
