Found on Spirit Airlines website. I booked for a 2 Queen tower upgrade for $25 (Th), $55(Fri) and $75 (Sat) for $155 total.

I%26#39;m new to this particular forum on TA. What exactly does that mean Doc V? I%26#39;m just trying to be helpful for anyone interested.

It%26#39;s just that it seems tonites discussion is the ';Why I love the El Cortez'; crowd vs the ';Why I hate the El Cortez'; crowds.

Yeah I noticed that too. No, I have never stayed downtown, but this is a spur of the moment trip I%26#39;m trying to plan for my mom%26#39;s birthday.

If she backs out, then me and sis will take the room and neither of them have been to Vegas. I%26#39;ve been 4 times and never stayed downtown and just thought, what the heck.

Thought this was a good deal and read good things about the renovated tour rooms. For that price, you can%26#39;t beat it IMO.

Yeah you might as well keep checking out my thread. Tonight is the El Cortez night on TA. Dr. Vegas%26#39;s advice is much appreciated. I just posted some links about the recent rennovations. I would certainly go with the tower rooms from what I have read. Good luck on your booking if you take the trip. We may take some slack for it, but crap its Vegas. I am sure everyone will have fun!

LOL, you only want to hear good things so go and see for yourself, I dont expect you to admit the place is a rat hole anyway.

Plus you have nothing to compare it to, so at this stage anything would be a palace.

You should also go for a nice walk at night and take in the sights.

El Cortez is a dirty, smoke and crack hore filled casino. I wouldn%26#39;t stay long because I was afraid my wallet would be stolen. Its very grimey and is mostly transients hanging out asking for spare change.

DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE!!!
