in an 8 hr day of driving does any body know how long it would take to drive from mephis to vegas.

Looking at my atlas it looks like it would be a fairly easy drive, no big cities to get thru.

Just remember to stay on the right side of the road.

I am not sure of the speed limits in that area, but I believe you can count on at least 65 miles per hour, perhaps 70 in some areas.

Travel time will, of course, depend on your speed and length of stops.

It looks like you need to average about 520 miles per day to make Vegas in 3 days. 8 hours per day might not do it unless you push your speed, but 9 or 10 hours probably would.

Let%26#39;s say your car averages 20 miles per gallon. You will need at least 80 gallons each way (provided you decide to come home). That will cost your a minumum of $640 for the trip in gas! I would check airfare too...
