Vegas spoiled me

Went to Vegas in May, boy did I get spoiled with the free drinks. Went to MGM in Detroit Thursday, playing cards, asked for drinks and she said $7, I said, oh , ok. Guess the free drinks are only in Vegas?? I felt stupid but then I said, hah, nobody knows me here. probably won%26#39;t see these people again. I felt 2 inches high. not very casino gives you free drinks?? was in there for a long time playing slots and never once saw a waitress. I also won $200 playing a 5cent machine, that was great. Most I ever won, cashed out, went to a 25 cent machine, put in $20 and last $2 hit triple red 7';s for 300 quarters, cashed out with $75 wwwoooo hhhooo

Vegas spoiled me

Free drinks are not only in Vegas, but every casino is different. Some states or tribal territories have laws that do not allow them to give out free drinks to players.

I have played at casinos in Mississippi, Connecticut, and in the Caribbean and drinks were free at all of them.

Vegas spoiled me

I%26#39;ve been spoiled by Vegas hotel rooms! LOL! I travel a lot with my daughter who is a competitive gymnast and sometimes I can%26#39;t believe what I have to pay for dumpy hotel rooms after paying a fraction for all out luxury in Vegas! I don%26#39;t suppose they%26#39;ll be handing out free drinks at a gymnastics meet anytime soon either! LOL!

Booze cannot be given out free in Mich.

Bars and stores cannot even offer it at under-cost pricing, it must be sold at least at wholesale price.

oh, that would make sense then thanks

Yep, be prepared to shell out the dollo%26#39;s for drinks at the Detroit casinos. I sneak my flask in my purse and spike my pops. Pop and coffee and water are free- Just not the ';spirits';.....

I think the Detroit MGM is pretty nifty, nothing compared to a Vegas casino/resort, but very nice compared to the old MGM we had or Greektown.

nice to know this, thanks. I did like MGM, it was really busy too on thurs night, was never at the old one or Greektown so can%26#39;t compare, Directions from map quest were great considering the 75 closure, didn%26#39;t like going through mexicantown, thought I was lost but kept going and BAM, there we were where we was suppose to be, also leaving to find 75 south was scary, going through detroit Michigan Ave at 10:00 pm yikes, but we got home safe, I had a blast, will definately go back for more

Unfortunately, you can%26#39;t get free drinks in Missouri or Illinois either.

Luckily for me, Tunica MS is only a short 4 hr drive away. Great weekend getaway (with free drinks).

Yeah, California is the same way. You have to charge per drink. Way back in the days(like 10 years go) we had beerbusts in sundays where you pay$5 at a bar and drink as much beer as you like. That was until some guy came up with a ancient law that says you have to buy each drink seperately. So it%26#39;s $1 beer now, still a good deal but that particular law still bad in my book, lol

Two things I love about Vegas...I wont gamble anywhere else. The first is obviously the drinks, the second is smoking. Im not much of a smoker, but I really like to sit down at a loose machine with a good drink and a butt!!!
